Umm Al Quwain opens winter camping permit applications on Oct 19

Applications run Oct 19‑30 for campsites in Al Aqran and Al Thaniya, with permits valid three to six months.

By Felo News Desk · Published

Umm Al Quwain Municipality announced that it will start accepting applications for temporary winter camping permits on 19 October, ahead of the season that begins on 1 November, Gulf News reported.

Applications are open until 30 October for designated sites in Al Aqran and Al Thaniya. Permits will be valid for three to six months and are limited to holders of passports issued by the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain.

The municipality requires applicants to pay fees and a security deposit within three days of approval; failure to do so will cancel the application. Permit holders may use the plots only for private, temporary purposes and are prohibited from renting them out or conducting any commercial activity.

Campers must stay within their allocated boundaries, keep the area clean and follow Civil Defence fire‑prevention rules. The rules also ban reckless driving, floodlights, loudspeakers and drones that could disturb others. Violations may lead to permit cancellation, penalties and confiscation of the security deposit.
