UAE Education Minister Sarah Al Amiri told a high‑level gathering in Geneva that every girl should complete at least twelve years of safe, inclusive and quality education. Speaking on the sidelines of the 63rd UN Human Rights Council session, she said schooling must give young women the knowledge, skills and agency to shape their futures. The event, co‑hosted by the UAE and UK missions, marked the 12th anniversary of the Council’s 2014 resolution on girls’ right to education and was themed “Renewing Global Commitment to Leave No Girl Behind”. Al Amiri also tied the appeal to the UAE’s bid for a 2028‑2030 Human Rights Council term.
