On World Tourism Day, Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah sent a message praising the province’s “rich natural beauty, ancient civilizations, historical heritage and Sufi traditions,” according to dailytimes.com.pk.
Shah cited landmarks such as Mohenjo‑daro, the Ranikot fortification, Gorakh Hill, Faiz Mahal, the Karoonjhar Mountains, Keenjhar Lake, the Thar Desert, Makli Necropolis and the Chaukhandi tombs. He also highlighted marine sites including Manora, Bundal, Badu, Shamspir, Baba, Bhit and Oyster Rocks, and Karachi’s Sea View coastline, as having “vast potential for marine tourism.”
The chief minister said promoting tourism could create new jobs and economic opportunities, and stressed the importance of linking young people and local communities to the sector.
