Sharjah Deputy Ruler opens renovated health clinic in Mindanao

Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, inaugurated the renovated Dinas Health Clinic in the Dinas area of Mindanao, Philippines, on 17 October 2026, Gulf News reported.
The refurbishment was funded by the “Alam wa Amal” programme broadcast on Sharjah TV and carried out in cooperation with Sharjah Charity International (SCI). Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of SCI, said the project reflects the UAE leadership’s vision to aid impoverished communities.
The clinic now houses a general‑practice consultation room, a dental suite, maternal and newborn care facilities, a pharmacy, a modern laboratory and emergency services. New diagnostic equipment includes X‑ray and ultrasound machines, an ECG unit, vital‑sign monitors, a precision infant weighing scale and other specialised devices for maternal care.
During the visit, the Sharjah Media Council Chairman toured the premises, reviewing each room and the newly installed medical devices. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Sheikh Dr Sultan exchanged commemorative gifts with senior local officials.
