The South African Property Owners Association (Sapoa) announced the winners of its 2026 Property Awards for Innovative Excellence during the Sapoa Convention at Sun City from 29 September to 1 October. The awards, marking Sapoa’s 60th anniversary, celebrated projects that "elevate property" across the nation.

Key winners include Sandton Gate, a 10‑hectare mixed‑use precinct developed by Abcon and Tiber, which took the Retail Category. Bendehuis Atterbury Property earned Commercial Office Development of the Year, while the South African Reserve Bank headquarters redevelopment won Corporate Office Development. Goscor Lift Trucks secured Industrial Development, and the University of Johannesburg Rescue Simulation Centre was named Innovative Development. Other categories recognised mixed‑use, residential, retail and student accommodation projects.
