The PGA Tour announced on Thursday that Ryan Holcomb will serve as senior vice president and head of original content, reporting to Luis Goicouria, executive vice president and general manager of PGA Tour Studios.

Holcomb comes from Box to Box Films, where he led development on series such as Formula 1: Drive to Survive and Faceoff: Inside the NHL. His résumé also includes roles at the World Surf League, Excel Sports Management, STX Entertainment and Lionsgate.

In his new role, Holcomb will help develop and drive content beyond live tournaments through PGA Tour Studios, which produces originals and co‑productions like Full Swing, Chasing Sunday and Truth or Putt. PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp, a former NFL media executive, is reshaping the tour’s event structure with future media deals in mind.

“The PGA Tour provides an unmatched opportunity to tell stories that deepen the connection between fans and players, while highlighting the incredible competition that defines this sport,” Holcomb said in a statement.
