Löfbergs launches ROC‑certified Arabica coffee in Nordic hotels

The first large European roaster to sell Regenerative Organic Certified coffee will serve it in hotels and back a Peru fertilizer project.

By Felo News Desk · Published

Löfbergs is introducing its ROC‑certified Arabica coffee, sourced from the Cafico cooperative in Honduras, to Strawberry hotels throughout the Nordics starting on October 1, according to Trendhunter.

The Regenerative Organic Certified (ROC) label adds standards for soil health, biodiversity and fair wages, making Löfbergs the first major European roaster to market coffee under this certification. The specialty beans are grown at elevations between 1,100 and 1,900 metres.

In parallel, Löfbergs and Strawberry are supporting a project in Peru with La Prosperidad de Chirinos to mechanise organic fertilizer production, which trial plots suggest could raise yields by 10‑15 %.

By placing ROC‑certified coffee in hotel rooms, the initiative turns sustainable sourcing into a visible guest‑facing choice rather than a behind‑the‑scenes procurement rule.
