Vancouver’s award‑winning Prophecy bar announced a new monthly “guest shift” series that pairs guest bartenders with chefs, the venue said on Oct. 9.
General manager Matteo Caniglia said the concept is about community and collaboration, adding that the bar wants to hand over its space for a night to let guests create a fun, welcoming experience.
The inaugural shift on Sunday, Oct. 18 will feature Edward Bell and Sean Suggett, who spent eight years managing Brandi’s Showlange and are preparing to open Submarine Dive Bar, an industry‑focused cocktail bar slated for Chinaown. During the takeover they will serve Beam Suntory‑inspired drinks and mini submarine sandwiches as a preview of their new venue.
Subsequent guest shifts are scheduled for Nov. 15 (Jon Merrill and Dani Hackenberg), Jan. 17 and Feb. 21, with local teams to be announced later.
