Prince Harry and Meghan to visit Nottingham charities on first joint UK engagement

The Sussexes will meet youth and community projects in the city where they first appeared as a couple in 2017.

Britain's Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to carry out their first joint engagement since moving back to the United Kingdom in August, Gulf News reported. The couple will travel to Nottingham on Thursday to visit three charities that support young people through music, film, sport and food‑poverty initiatives.

The visit follows a letter from King Charles III last month that described the Sussexes' status as "akin to private citizens" rather than public figures. Despite that, the outing is presented as a sign of the pair's determination to be seen as public figures.

Harry and Meghan, who left royal duties in 2020, returned with their children Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five. After the Nottingham trip, they are expected to head back to the United States for the Christmas season.
