Concept art reveals a scrapped three‑person Power Rangers series

Samuel Rafa Garcia posted artwork for a never‑produced Power Rangers reboot that would have used a three‑ranger lineup for a Netflix project.

Artist Samuel Rafa Garcia posted concept art for a cancelled Power Rangers series that would have aired on Netflix, according to Gizmodo. The designs feature a three‑person team—Red, Green and Blue—departing from the franchise’s usual four‑or‑five‑member lineups.

Garcia, who has illustrated for Netflix and Gearbox, said the visuals include primary‑color suits with a white diamond pattern and a lightning‑bolt transformation effect reminiscent of Thor. One helmet mirrors the Mighty Red’s Tyrannosaurus design, minus the silver teeth, and the overall look draws on the 2017 movie’s pattern and colour emphasis.

Garcia’s ArtStation profile lists Netflix as a client, implying the project was intended for the streamer before its cancellation in 2024. He mentioned working with studio 9B Collective, which has credits on Netflix titles such as “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie” and “Jupiter’s Legacy.”
