Paul Scholes wants 2011‑12 Premier League medal despite City breach verdict
Scholes says he will claim the medal, while former teammates and pundits suggest harsher punishments for City.

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes said on his Instagram story that he wants the Premier League medal from the 2011‑12 season, despite Manchester City being found guilty of serious financial breaches covering nine seasons from 2009/10 to 2017/18, according to Sportskeeda.
Scholes called himself a “greedy bastard” and wrote, “Keep hearing ex‑teammates saying they want trophies taken off them but they don’t want their medals… F*ck that. I want my medal.” He added that the medal should be given to United, even though former teammate Wayne Rooney said he would not feel comfortable accepting it.
Former United defender Gary Neville suggested that the only fair punishment for City would be the removal of the Abu Dhabi‑based owners, arguing that points deductions, fines or title stripping would not be enough. The Premier League has not yet announced the final sanctions, and City have appealed the verdict.
