Pakistan accuses Afghan Taliban of sheltering militants and enabling cross‑border attacks

Pakistan's foreign office says Afghan territory is being used to plan and finance attacks against Pakistan and calls for UN action.

By Felo News Desk · Published

Pakistan's foreign office said on Oct. 26 that the Afghan Taliban government is allowing militant groups, including the Tehreek‑e‑Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and entities it calls Fitna al‑Khawarij and Fitna al‑Hindustan, to operate from Afghan soil.

The statement rejected claims that Pakistan’s counter‑terrorism strikes have caused civilian deaths and warned that attacks planned and financed from Afghanistan have killed thousands of Pakistanis. It cited United Nations monitoring reports that raised concerns about militant activity under Taliban rule.

Pakistan urged the international community to press the Afghan authorities to comply with relevant UN Security Council resolutions and to prevent militants from using Afghanistan as a launchpad for attacks against its neighbours.
