Preparations are under way for the next OFW Serbisyo Caravan, a one‑stop‑shop that lets Filipino overseas workers in the UAE access Philippine government services without travelling back to the Philippines, Gulf News reported.
What happened
The Filipino Social Club (Filsoc) posted on Facebook that an ocular inspection was carried out by club president Ericson Reyes, Migrant Workers Office Dubai labour attache attorney John Rio Bautista, Philippine Consulate consul Paola Belle Ebora and officials from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). The inspection aimed to ensure smooth operation of the upcoming caravan.
What the reports add
Gulf News notes that the caravan follows three earlier legs held in August and November 2025 and January 2026, which offered passport renewals, notarial services, civil registration, marriage reports and certificates of legal capacity to contract marriage. Additional assistance has included Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) services, national ID processing and overseas voter registration.
What was said
Filsoc’s Facebook post quoted the club’s account: “Stay tuned for announcements and participating government agencies that will be delivering simplified services to you.”
How it came about
The caravan concept was created to bring multiple Philippine agencies together in a single venue, reducing the need for overseas Filipinos to travel home for routine documentation. Earlier editions also featured business and financial‑literacy sessions, franchising opportunities, banking services and health‑insurance registration. The third leg introduced the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for driver’s licence renewals and record updates.
The date, time and venue for the upcoming Dubai edition have not yet been announced, and organisers have not confirmed whether online pre‑registration will be required.
