Dubai’s Ru’ya Careers UAE 2026 fair opened on Monday at the Dubai World Trade Centre, offering more than 750 government jobs to Emirati nationals, Gulf News reported.

What happened

The three‑day careers event runs from Sep 28 to Sep 30 under the theme “Ready for What’s Next? The Future of Work”. It brings together over 150 employers across 23 sectors, with a dedicated Dubai Government Human Resources Department platform displaying vacancies from 34 government entities.

What the reports add

Gulf News noted that the fair includes roles in engineering, transport, artificial intelligence, data analysis, cloud computing, digital infrastructure and AI ethics. It also highlighted the Emirati Human Resources Development Council’s upgraded platform, which holds data on about 38,000 citizens and matches jobseekers to vacancies based on location.

What was said

Dr Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, opened the fair. Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, said the next phase must broaden Emiratisation beyond placement to professional development and career progression. Rashid Issa Al Yadouwi, Director of Corporate Communication for the department, described the platform as an integrated effort to align Emirati talent with labour‑market needs.

How it came about

The fair follows a series of UAE initiatives to boost national employment, including private‑sector drives such as Mal’s AI and Islamic finance recruitment in Abu Dhabi earlier this month. Earlier Felo coverage linked these efforts to the broader push for Emiratisation across public and private sectors.
