President Donald Trump announced that the White House will distribute one‑time $90 checks to about 20 million seniors enrolled in Medicare Part B, according to a White House fact sheet released on Oct. 3.

The checks, slated to arrive by early October, will offset roughly half of the $203 average monthly Part B premium. Eligibility excludes enrollees whose premiums are already covered by Medicaid or who pay an income‑related surcharge.

The administration said the payments will be financed from the Medicare Improvement Fund, created by Congress in 2008. Seniors can call 1‑800‑633‑4227 to verify eligibility and 1‑800‑772‑1213 for payment status.
