Dallas Stars veteran forward Matt Duchene will miss about three months after the team announced on Monday that he underwent surgery to repair a core injury, the Associated Press reported.
Duchene, 35, has not appeared in a game this season after a lower‑body injury in training camp and was placed on long‑term injured reserve before the season opener, a move that initially forced him to miss at least the first ten games.
Last season he recorded 45 points (16 goals, 29 assists) in 57 games for Dallas, his third year with the franchise after stints with Colorado, Nashville, Ottawa and Columbus.
