Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard has been named in Norway's 23‑man squad for Thursday's match against Wales in Cardiff, according to the Standard. Scans confirmed that his ankle injury, sustained during recent international duty, is not serious and the pain has lessened considerably. Norway's medical staff have been in regular contact with Arsenal, and the player travelled with the squad to Wales.

Norway boss Stale Solbakken told a pre‑match press conference that a final decision on Odegaard's role will be made after further testing, saying, "I wish I could say yes, but I don't know… It's whether he's a hundred per cent." He added there are no plans for an early return to Arsenal, and if the ankle holds, Odegaard is also expected to feature in Norway's upcoming game in Portugal.
