Kim Kardashian and her 13‑year‑old daughter North West used a TikTok Live session on Oct. 15 to reject claims that the teen’s fashion choices are “demonic.”
What happened
North West, who has been described by media outlets as an aspiring rapper, appeared on the livestream wearing bright blue hair, a black grill, piercings and a colorful outfit. She said, “Oh no, I’m not demonic, guys. Stop saying I’m demonic. No, I’m not,” and added, “Just because I like to dress this way, don’t judge a book by the cover.” Kardashian, who introduced the segment, echoed the sentiment, telling viewers that people “really don’t get it” about her daughter’s style.
What the reports add
The New York Post article notes that North West has previously faced criticism for a dermal finger piercing shown in Rome in August 2025, as well as for fake face tattoos, colorful wigs, a corset and a miniskirt. It also references Kardashian’s earlier comments on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, where she said she tried to limit her children’s fashion after a public misstep.
What was said
During the livestream, North West said, “I’m not demonic, guys,” while Kardashian told viewers, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” The article records Kardashian’s remark that she feels people “don’t really get it” when they criticize her daughter’s appearance.
How it came about
Kardashian’s defense follows a pattern of public scrutiny over North West’s fashion experiments, which have included piercings, grills and bold hair colors. The mother’s earlier interview on “Call Her Daddy” highlighted the difficulty of raising a “nepo baby” in the public eye while allowing personal expression. The recent TikTok Live was intended to address the latest wave of online commentary labeling the teen’s look as “demonic.”
