Sir Kevin Sinfield was cheered into a sold‑out Old Trafford as he presented the Betfred Super League Grand Final trophy before the season‑ending match between Warrington and Wakefield, Independent reported.

The ceremony marked the conclusion of Sinfield’s seventh and final ultra‑running challenge, a seven‑in‑seven tour of all 12 English Super League club grounds that has raised over £11 million for motor neurone disease charities since 2020.

Charities benefiting from the effort include the Motor Neurone Disease Association, Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, MND Scotland, Leeds Hospitals Charity and The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

Inspired by former Leeds Rhinos teammate Rob Burrow, who died in 2024, Sinfield was knighted in the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours for services to rugby league, rugby union and the MND community. His son, Jack Sinfield, lined up for Wakefield in the final.
