Jessica Chastain reiterated her criticism of Apple TV’s decision to postpone her series “The Savant,” telling Variety that she felt a duty to the cast and the real person she portrays. In a Net‑a‑Porter cover‑story interview published Monday, the actress‑producer said she had to go on record calling the delay a mistake and emphasized the importance of honest, respectful communication.

Chastain added that women can be both grateful and truthful without fearing career repercussions. Apple later confirmed the series will now debut in spring 2027, a year and a half after its original September 2025 launch date, which was pulled following the 2025 assassination of far‑right activist Charlie Kirk.
