Fans anticipate Dragunov's first AEW appearance at WrestleDream, where he could intervene in the tag‑team title bout.

Ilja Dragunov, who left WWE in August, is rumored to make his All Elite Wrestling debut at this weekend's WrestleDream, according to Sportskeeda.
What happened
Dragunov's exit from WWE was confirmed in August 2026, and since then speculation about his AEW signing has grown. The promotion has aired vignettes hinting at "The Mad Dragon" and fans expect him to appear during the AEW World Tag Team Championship match on Saturday night.
What the reports add
Sportskeeda notes that Dragunov could interfere in the match between the Young Bucks and the team of Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight, potentially costing Fletcher and Knight the titles. The outlet also cites a Fightful Select report that Dragunov has signed with AEW after resolving visa issues, confirming the vignette belongs to him.
What was said
Sportskeeda quotes the outlet as saying, "The former NXT Champion could make a grand entrance that may distract The Protostar," referring to Fletcher, and adds, "Only time will tell what Tony Khan has planned for the former WWE star upon his entry to the Jacksonville‑based promotion in the coming days."
How it came about
Dragunov's rumored debut follows his departure from WWE and a series of cryptic social‑media posts from Fletcher teasing a program with "The Mad Dragon." The speculation builds on earlier Felo News coverage of Dragunov signing with AEW (see Roman Reigns vs. Penta).
