Giants near full‑strength lineup for Week 4 showdown with Cardinals

The Giants say only a few players remain questionable as they prepare for the Cardinals matchup.

The New York Giants are close to fielding a full‑strength roster for Sunday’s Week 4 game against the Arizona Cardinals, the New York Post reported.

Left tackle Andrew Thomas, who missed two days with a groin issue, practiced in a limited capacity on Friday, while center John Michael Schmitz was absent for personal reasons and was replaced by Bryan Hudson during the media viewing period. Both are expected to rejoin the lineup for the Sunday game.

The team listed no players as questionable, doubtful or out on Friday’s injury report, and Thomas is reportedly following a “Plaxico Burress‑style” approach of staying off his feet as needed. Safety Tyler Nubin and cornerback Deonte Banks, both dealing with calf injuries, participated fully in practice for the first time this week.

Head coach John Harbaugh discussed the running‑back rotation, noting that decisions are based on game‑plan fit, matchup considerations and player development, quoting the Post.
