Fortune released its third annual Most Powerful Women Asia list on 7 October 2026, naming 100 women who are shaping the region’s economic future. The ranking, which spans 14 Asia‑Pacific markets, places DBS Group CEO Tan Su Shan at No. 1 and introduces 24 newcomers.

The publication spotlights ten finance leaders: Meng Wanzhou, deputy chairwoman, rotating chairwoman and CFO of Huawei (China) at No. 4; Julie Gao, CFO of ByteDance (China) at No. 15; Lin Tao, CFO and corporate executive officer of Sony Group (Japan) at No. 20; Arundhati Chakraborty, global lead for finance and global capability centres at Accenture (India) at No. 39; Phatpuree Chinkulkitnivat, CFO of Bangchak (Thailand) at No. 56; and Susanna Hui Hon Hing, executive director, group managing director and group CFO of PCCW (Hong Kong SAR) at No. 59, among others.

Fortune says the list is based on the scale and performance of each leader’s organisation, career trajectory, influence, innovation and broader societal impact. Huawei reported 881 billion yuan ($126 billion) in revenue for 2025, its second‑highest annual total, and has reclaimed the top spot in China’s smartphone market. Julie Gao joined ByteDance as CFO in 2022 after a decade at Skadden, where she specialised in capital‑markets work. Lin Tao became Sony’s first female CFO in April 2025 and now oversees finance, strategy, corporate planning and investor relations for the global entertainment group.

Arundhati Chakraborty leads Accenture’s Finance Reinvention Partner unit, one of seven units created in a March 2026 services reorganisation, helping clients improve financial performance and advance the CFO agenda. Phatpuree Chinkulkitnivat, the first female finance chief of Thailand’s energy group Bangchak, has been with the company since 2022 and assumed the CFO role in November 2023. Susanna Hui Hon Hing, who began her career at Cable & Wireless HKT in 1999, now holds three senior finance titles at PCCW.
