The Flaming Lips announced a 20th‑anniversary deluxe edition of their 2006 album At War With the Mystics, scheduled for release on November 13.
According to Pitchfork, the collection will be offered as a six‑LP or six‑CD set and will include two 2006 live albums—U.F.O. s at the Zoo and Live at the Hollywood Bowl—alongside more than 30 previously unreleased demos, B‑sides, alternate versions and soundtrack contributions.
The reissue features a track called “The Sound of Failure [2 Demos]” and a lengthy tracklist that spans the original album and the new material. The band, which has continued performing despite the recent departure of longtime multi‑instrumentalist Steve Drozd, is using the release to highlight material from the era following their commercial breakthrough with Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots.
