The Philadelphia Eagles faced the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, with the Eagles leading 2‑2 and the Jaguars 3‑1 in the season standings. On the opening kickoff, Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and Jaguars defensive end Bryan Thomas Jr. were ejected after a brief ground tussle, according to video clips shared by John Frascella and MLFootball on X.

Social media users quickly criticized the referees. One fan wrote, "The refs are killing this sport," while another called the calls "bogus ejections." Additional comments questioned the consistency of officiating and suggested the league let players be more physical.

The ejections came as the Eagles already faced defensive setbacks. Earlier in the first half, defensive end Jalyx Hunt suffered a lower‑leg injury and left the field, according to an X post by Ari Meirov. The Eagles held a 14‑7 lead at halftime despite these losses.

It remains unclear whether the NFL will levy further fines or penalties beyond the ejections. The incident adds to ongoing fan frustration with officiating, echoing earlier criticism of the league’s referees in other games.
