Shifa and Shahzeb, an Atlanta‑based couple with Indian and Pakistani roots, marked their marriage with a three‑day celebration in Dubai from October 17 to 19, Gulf News reported.
The festivities opened with a "Welcome to Dubai" lunch at Hilton Al Habtoor City, giving guests from the US, India and London a chance to settle before the evening events. The next night, the couple headed to Delano Dubai for a "Dubai Bling" themed sangeet. Neon lighting filled the venue as they entered accompanied by traditional zaffa performers and dabka dancers, creating a high‑energy atmosphere.
Day two featured the nikkah at Four Seasons Resort Dubai. Set in a lush garden under blue skies, the ceremony included soft‑blue, white and green floral arrangements and a mirrored aisle. Shifa wore a floral Sabyasachi dress, and a live violinist performed desi covers as she walked down the aisle. A live painter captured the moment, producing a canvas the couple will keep at home.
An intimate dinner followed the nikkah, maintaining a quieter tone. The final reception took place at Atlantis The Royal, where a fluid fabric ceiling installation concealed a four‑tier floral wedding cake. As the couple made their entrance, the cake descended slowly onto the dance floor, prompting guests to gasp in surprise.
At the close of the celebration, Shifa and Shahzeb departed in a red Ferrari, surrounded by family and friends waving sparklers. Shifa described the farewell as her "ruksati" and called the entire weekend "pure magic, emotional and completely unforgettable."
