Heritage Auctions announced that the lightsaber wielded by Darth Vader in the Cloud City duel – the scene where he tells Luke, “I am your father” – will be offered at its Ultimate Star Wars Auction on Nov. 12. The auction catalogue lists the saber alongside more than two dozen props from Episodes I‑IX, including Ewan McGregor’s Obi‑Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen’s Anakin lightsabers, a Boba Fett EE‑3 carbine blaster, and a Yoda puppet hand. Heritage estimates the Vader saber will fetch at least $1 million. The sale follows a July auction where Luke Skywalker’s severed‑hand lightsaber sold for $3.75 million, the highest price ever for a Star Wars prop, according to the auction house.
