Heritage Auctions announced that Darth Vader’s original lightsaber – the one used in the Cloud City showdown – will be offered at its Ultimate Star Wars Auction on November 12, with an estimate starting at $1 million, according to the Associated Press.
The catalog also includes more than two dozen lightsaber props from all nine saga episodes, a matching pair of Obi‑Wan and Anakin’s sabers from the volcanic duel in “Revenge of the Sith,” and Boba Fett’s EE‑3 carbine blaster, projected to fetch over $100,000. Other items range from a Yoda puppet hand operated by Frank Oz to a TIE Fighter pilot helmet from “Rogue One.”
Heritage noted that Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber sold for $3.75 million in July, the highest price ever paid for a Star Wars prop, and that Vader’s saber also appeared in “Return of the Jedi,” making it a two‑film veteran.
