Chinese Premier Li Qiang condemned the United States and Israel for recent attacks on Iran, describing them as “blatant aggression,” IRNA reported. The remarks were made during a meeting with Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, where the two discussed Shanghai Cooperation Organisation matters.

Li said the strikes occurred amid ongoing Iran‑US nuclear negotiations and without United Nations Security Council approval, adding that China supports reviving the Islamabad Agreement and will defend Iran’s legitimate rights in international forums. President Xi Jinping, speaking separately, said the Middle‑East war sparked by the late‑February US‑Israeli strikes was causing serious losses and did not serve global interests, the Daily Star noted.

Beijing has repeatedly called for an immediate halt to military actions, a return to diplomacy, and opposition to unilateral force, framing the attacks as violations of Iranian sovereignty and the UN Charter.
