Paramount Pictures confirmed that Bradley Cooper will portray field commander Duke in its upcoming G.I. Joe reboot, directed by Danny McBride.
McBride, who also co‑wrote the screenplay with Jeff Fradley and John Carcieri, said the film will offer a fresh take on the Hasbro toy line. The studio noted the project is now "uncoupled" from the Transformers franchise, which was teased at the end of 2023’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
Cooper, a 12‑time Oscar nominee, will also direct the movie and will be joined on‑screen by Margot Robbie and Monica Barbaro. Production is being overseen by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian and Zev Foreman for Hasbro Entertainment, with Paramount co‑chairs Josh Greenstein and Dana Goldberg supervising the IP slate.
