Dubai – The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has postponed the IPL stakeholders meeting that was to be held on 15 October 2026 in Mumbai, according to a statement from BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia.
Saikia said the postponement is required because BCCI officials must attend a felicitation ceremony hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, where the Indian men’s and women’s teams will be honoured for their performance at the 20th Asian Games.
The original agenda included franchise owners, chief executives, state associations that host IPL matches and broadcasters discussing league issues ahead of the next season. Saikia added that several stakeholders had requested a delay to ensure maximum in‑person participation.
No new date or venue has been announced; the board will communicate a revised schedule in due course.
