The AZ Academy pop‑up in the Upper Marais lets recent graduates sell their debut pieces to industry insiders and the public.

On a fall evening during Paris Fashion Week, the AZ Academy pop‑up opened in the Upper Marais at Heureux Les Curieux, 23 Rue du Pont aux Choux. The initiative, created by the late Alber Elbaz, concludes a 12‑month program that enables emerging designers to produce and sell a first capsule collection.
Patrick Ferrand, director of strategy and growth for Richemont’s fashion & accessories maisons, said the event gives young creatives a chance to meet both industry figures and potential clients. Richemont announced its first cohort of graduates, including Brais Albor (men’s wear, Milan) and Liwen Liang (clothing using Chinese porcelain techniques, Jingdezhen and London).
Among the showcased pieces, a sweater by 25‑year‑old Lutz Huelle drew attention for its earthy hues and ombré treatment. Ferrand added that the initiative offers “real help and the means to actually become professional.” The pop‑up will remain open until October 17.
