Anthropic's draft prospectus, first reported by Reuters, says the AI startup could list as early as November with a valuation north of $2 trillion. The document warns that the technology it is developing poses a "catastrophic or existential risk to humanity" and notes a net loss of $42 billion in 2025.

Revenue rose twelve‑fold to almost $4.6 billion last year, yet the company spent $7.33 billion on compute and infrastructure and plans to invest $518 billion in cloud and related build‑out. About a quarter of its 2025 revenue came from two customers, and many users lack long‑term contracts.

Anthropic devoted roughly a third of its 261‑page filing to risk factors, including shutdown resistance and information manipulation. Co‑founder and CEO Dario Amodei, who has advocated for a slowdown in AI development, did not comment when contacted.
