FX announced on Oct. 20 that "American Horror Story" has been renewed for a 14th season, nine days before the season‑13 finale scheduled for Oct. 29, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The pickup will likely push the series past the 150‑episode mark and extend its record as FX’s longest‑running hour‑long series. Co‑creator Ryan Murphy, who said at the start of the current season he hopes to keep the show “forever,” will return as executive producer alongside Brad Falchuk and a team that includes Ned Martel, Charlie Carver and others.
The current season features a large ensemble, including regulars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman and Jessica Lange, plus newcomers such as Joey Pollari and Avantika. The season recorded the biggest launch for any Murphy series on Hulu and Disney+, and it ranked in Nielsen’s top‑10 streaming charts for the first two weeks of release.
