Bayern Munich confirmed that head coach Vincent Kompany will miss Tuesday's training session and pre‑match press conference ahead of the Champions League game against Arsenal because of a viral infection.
The club statement said Kompany is "taking it easy due to a viral infection" and will remain at home to rest. Assistant coach Aaron Danks took charge of the training and delivered the press briefing, noting that Kompany is in constant dialogue with the staff and that his involvement on match day remains uncertain.
Meanwhile, Bayern will have captain Manuel Neuer back after missing the previous weekend's match, but attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala is also absent, having withdrawn from international duty after a thigh injury.
