TTF Hyderabad 2026 opened on 9 October at Hall 2 of the HITEX Exhibition Centre, bringing together more than 150 exhibitors from 15 Indian states and seven overseas countries, according to Deccan Chronicle.
The trade show, organised by Fairfest Media, is slated to run for three days and is expected to draw over 5,000 travel‑trade professionals. Exhibitors include seven state tourism boards, private‑sector partners from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Punjab and other states, and international participants from Thailand, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Maldives and Cambodia.
The inauguration was led by Shri Jupally Krishna Rao, Telangana’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Archaeology, alongside Shri Nasir Aslam Wani, advisor to the Jammu & Kashmir chief minister, Smt. Kranthi Valluru of the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation, and Shri L. Ranjeet Nayak, director of tourism for the state. Additional officials from the Jammu & Kashmir tourism department and senior industry representatives also attended.
Thailand was highlighted as the feature country, while Telangana served as the host state. Jammu & Kashmir and Goa were designated partner states, and Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi and Punjab were listed as feature states, each presenting their own destinations.
Fairfest Media chairman and CEO Sanjiv Agarwal said travel to some parts of the world is currently disrupted, but Indian travellers continue to spend on domestic and short‑haul trips, driving demand that is reflected on the exhibition floor.
A notable moment of the ceremony was the unveiling of a Bathukamma Festival poster by Minister Rao, who urged participation in the cultural celebrations.
Throughout the opening day, exhibitors engaged with travel agents, tour operators and buyers from Hyderabad, the wider Telangana region and neighboring markets. The event also hosted a panel by Skål International Hyderabad titled “Hyderabad to the World: Can Telangana Become India’s Next Glob…”.
