Tottenham supporters have taken to social media to ask whether the club should re‑sign striker Troy Parrott, following a series of high‑profile goals for Real Betis and the Republic of Ireland, Standard reported on 2 October 2026.

Parrott, who left Tottenham permanently in 2024 for a £17.1 million move to Betis, scored the winner against Real Madrid in LaLiga and a decisive strike on his Champions League debut versus Lille earlier this month. He then netted both goals in Ireland’s 2‑2 Nations League draw with Austria in Dublin, prompting manager Heimir Hallgrimsson to call the effort “magical”.

Since his departure, Parrott has added nine goals in six competitive matches for Ireland, bringing his international tally to 14 in 40 caps. His form has sparked debate among Spurs fans, who recall his £6.7 million sale in 2024 and the club’s ongoing struggles to find a prolific striker under Roberto De Zerbi.

In response to a tweet from the X account “The Spurs Web”, fans posted footage of Parrott’s latest wonder‑goal, suggesting the club has “no plans to cash in on the player any time soon”.
