KATSEYE announced that vocalist Sophia Laforteza will rejoin the global girl group during the first week of January 2027, according to statements from her management companies HYBE and Geffen Records on October 8.
The 23‑year‑old stepped away from group activities in August 2026 to focus on mental health and will miss the remaining 2026 engagements, including the North‑American leg of the THE WILDWORLD TOUR and related promotional events.
Management thanked fans, known as EYEKONS, for their patience and reiterated that Laforteza continues to receive health support. The status of fellow member Manon Bannerman remains uncertain after she paused activities in February for health reasons.
