Israeli settlers set fire to a mosque, an olive tree and a vehicle in the West Bank village of Mikhmas early on Wednesday, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported. The same day, settlers attacked a Palestinian boy in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, according to the outlet Quds News Network. Israeli forces also raided the city of Qalqilya, arresting three Palestinians, and entered the village of Tammun, using tear‑gas, the same source said. Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have previously accused Israel of facilitating settler violence, noting that about 750,000 settlers live illegally in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
