US Senator Marco Rubio told the United Nations that the Ukraine war could spread, warning of Russian sabotage, drone incursions and hybrid attacks against European allies.
Rubio said the situation was being closely watched and that officials were “flagged with the right people at the right levels.” He added that the Kremlin’s campaign aims to undermine support for Kyiv and cause wider instability.
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham told the UN he had ordered security chiefs to create a new unit to combat “industrial‑scale” Russian disinformation, while Royal Navy head General Sir Gwyn Jenkins warned that Moscow poses “the greatest threat to our security today” and is probing the UK’s undersea cables.
French President Emmanuel Macron warned of an intensifying Russian hybrid‑warfare campaign and called for plans to protect critical infrastructure, including defence sites, from drone and cyber attacks.
