Brazilian striker Richarlison confirmed on Instagram that he agrees with former Everton player Duncan Ferguson’s criticism of Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi, after being left out of the Premier League squad and senior cup teams.

Richarlison has been excluded from Tottenham’s 25‑man Premier League roster this season following a failed move to Vasco da Gama on deadline day. He is also ruled out of senior cup competitions, according to De Zerbi. The forward scored in a 2‑2 draw at the EV Charger Points Stadium and in the subsequent penalty shoot‑out, which Spurs lost 7‑6.

Ferguson, quoted by The Overlap Daily, said, “You don’t leave a player like that out unless there’s been a real murder…”, a comment Richarlison reposted with thanks.
