Pakistan rejects Afghanistan's claim of involvement in Nuristan violence
The Pakistani ministry said no evidence supports the Afghan Taliban's accusations and urged Kabul to act against terrorist groups on its soil.

Pakistan’s information ministry on Sunday dismissed the Afghan Taliban’s allegation that Pakistani forces were involved in recent clashes in Afghanistan’s Nuristan province. The ministry’s X "fact‑check" account called the claims "frivolous, baseless and devoid of any truth," adding that no identities, documents, communications or forensic evidence have been presented.
The Afghan defence ministry had earlier said Pakistan‑backed individuals crossed the border and participated in the violence. In response, Pakistan said an alleged video circulating on social media merely shows a few unarmed individuals in a staged arrest, not evidence of foreign involvement.
The Pakistani statement also warned the Taliban to curb terrorist groups operating from Afghan territory, citing United Nations reports on the presence of such groups inside Afghanistan.
