Florida State running back Ousmane Kromah was carted off the field late in the first half of the Seminoles’ game against No. 3 Miami on Saturday night, after a left‑leg injury appeared serious, the Associated Press reported.
The injury occurred with 1:53 remaining in the second quarter on a 10‑yard carry that moved Florida State near the goal line. Kromah’s left ankle buckled as he continued running, and he was tackled on the Miami side of the field. He tried to return to his side, hopping on his right foot before falling and receiving medical attention.
Medical staff placed an air cast on his left leg, then helped him onto a cart for further evaluation. Kromah had 14 carries for 44 yards in the first half and entered the game as Florida State’s primary ball carrier this season, with 114 rushes for 609 yards and five touchdowns overall.
