Jonathan McKinsey, 40, the New York Times’ head of engineering for games player experience, was shot dead in the parking lot of Dublin Sports Grounds on Dublin Boulevard in Dublin, California, Saturday after 3 p.m., police said. Officers who were patrolling the area spotted McKinsey with multiple gunshot wounds and called for emergency assistance. First responders attempted to aid him, but he died at the scene. Witnesses reported seeing two masked assailants approach McKinsey in the lot. The suspects, Shouyong Zhang and Shili Chen, both 77, were arrested by a passing cop and booked into Alameda County’s Santa Rita Jail on suspicion of murder.
