California‑based food supplier G. L. Mezzetta Inc. announced a voluntary recall of its 32‑ounce Mezzetta Golden Greek Peperoncini Medium Heat, lot 720106, after a TikTok video posted on 16 September showed what the poster claimed was a dead baby mouse inside the jar.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration was notified, and Mezzetta said it has contacted the consumer, is reviewing production and sanitation records, and is working with distributors to remove the affected jars from sale. The company reported no illnesses or injuries linked to the product.

The recall applies only to the specified lot (SKU 10106328). Mezzetta investigators have identified customers who received the product and are requesting the contaminated jars for further analysis.
