Meijer claimed the top spot in the American Customer Satisfaction Index’s 2026 Convenience Store Study, posting an 82‑point rating, the highest among the 24‑plus chains surveyed, Independent reported.
The study, based on 9,475 customer surveys collected between October 2025 and September 2026, measured factors such as food quality, cleanliness, store layout, merchandise variety, employee courtesy, checkout speed, store hours and coffee quality. Meijer’s score tied with Maverik, Pilot, RaceTrac and Shell at 77 for fourth place, while Buc‑ee’s also scored 77, sharing the fourth slot.
QuikTrip, Sheetz and Wawa each earned 80 points, tying for second place. Kwik Trip, the 2025 leader with an 84, fell to 79 and tied for third with Murphy USA. Overall satisfaction with convenience stores slipped 1 percent to a composite score of 75.
Regional leaders emerged: Wawa led the South with 82, just ahead of Buc‑ee’s; Sheetz topped the Midwest with 83; Maverik and QuikTrip tied for first in the West.
