Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will not join the royal family’s Christmas festivities at Sandringham this year. According to People, the couple intends to celebrate the holiday with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, after returning to the United Kingdom in August with their children, Archie (7) and Lilibet (5). A friend told The Sunday Times the pair will follow Ragland’s wishes, whether she travels to the UK or they remain in California. The friend added, “For Thanksgiving and Christmas, they will do whatever Doria wants to do.” Another source said the Sussexes do not expect an invitation to the royal gathering, describing a potential attendance as “too awkward and too difficult.”
