Former WWE ID prospect Marcus Mathers announced on X that his two‑year stint with the Entertainment Juggernaut has ended, thanking the company for the experience. In the same week, AEW star Deonna Purazzo posted a public invitation for Mathers to appear at an independent show she is organizing.

Purazzo wrote, "Steve and I are such big fans of yours & we’re so excited to welcome you to JTOWN SMACKDOWN on 11/13; Jefferson Township High School; 1010 Weldon Rd, Oak Ridge, NJ; 🗓️ November 13 | 7PM," tagging her husband Steve Maclin. Mathers’ final WWE appearance was a loss to Conan Lycan on NXT. He reflected on his time, saying, "As of this week, my time with WWEID has come to an end. What an incredible two years it’s been… I want to thank WWE for their time!"
