What happened

The financing agreement, announced on 12 Oct 2026, enables the solar park to move to construction, scheduled to start in September 2026 with commissioning expected in 2028.

What the reports add

The project has secured long‑term power purchase agreements with PPC and PowerX, a NERSA‑licensed private electricity trader.
