Junior Caminero told The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal that he has "already forgotten" the Rays’ first two World Series losses to the Milwaukee Brewers, which came on Oct. 24 and Oct. 25, 2026.
Caminero said the 5-4 defeat on Saturday, after the Rays built a 4-0 lead with RBI singles from Chandler Simpson and himself and a two‑run homer by Liam Hicks, felt like a separate event. He added he was trying to energize the team in the dugout after a sixth‑inning rally that included a Sal Frelick home run and a missed fly ball by Simpson.
Rosenthal noted that Brewers relievers have allowed just one run in 10 innings of the series, while Tampa Bay’s bullpen has given up three runs in 7.1 innings.
